Semiconductor Supply Constraints Easing for Standard Components, Specialty Chips Remain Tight

Supply conditions in the semiconductor market continue to diverge. Standard components including microcontrollers and memory chips are now readily available with lead times returning to normal ranges. However, specialty chips used in automotive, industrial automation, and advanced telecommunications equipment remain supply-constrained, with lead times extending 20 to 30 weeks in some categories. Procurement teams dependent on specialty semiconductors should maintain safety stock strategies and consider qualifying alternative components where technically feasible.
