The EU’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive is now in its enforcement phase, requiring in-scope companies to identify, prevent, and mitigate adverse human rights and environmental impacts across their value chains. Procurement functions are directly affected, as supplier assessment and monitoring obligations fall squarely within the procurement remit.
